Dmitri Basov, Higgins Professor of Physics, is the recipient of The International Society of Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves 2019 Kenneth J Button Prize for Outstanding Contributions to the Science of Infrared, and Terahertz Waves.
Basov was cited for making “seminal discoveries in quantum material physics through infrared spectroscopy and nano-optics.”
